Our students have been busy brainstorming ways to show kindness, and their ideas have come together—literally! 💡💖 They created chains of kindness filled with thoughtful ways to uplift others, inspired by the ideals of Capturing Kids’ Hearts.
After connecting their chains, they proudly hung them in the hallway as a daily reminder to treat one another with kindness, respect, and compassion. 💕✨

A Heartfelt Thank You to Claudette Colvin!
Today, we had the incredible honor of welcoming Claudette Colvin to speak with our students. At just 15 years old, Ms. Colvin bravely refused to give up her seat on a segregated bus in Montgomery, Alabama—nine months before Rosa Parks. Her courage helped pave the way for the civil rights movement and played a key role in Browder v. Gayle, the court case that led to the end of bus segregation.
Hearing her firsthand account was truly inspiring, and we are so grateful she shared her story with us. Her resilience, strength, and passion remind us all that young people can make a difference.
Thank you, Ms. Colvin, for your time, wisdom, and the lasting impact you have had on history and on all of us today! 💜✊🏾
