TEXAS PUBLIC SCHOOL NUTRITION POLICY: Effective August 1, 2004, all Texas public schools participating in the federal child nutrition programs must comply with the nutrition policies outlined in the new legislation. The Texas Public School Nutrition Policy does not restrict what parents may provide for their own child’s lunch or snacks. Parent/guardian may provide lunch or snacks for their child only. All parents/guardians are required to register in the office, receive a visitor’s pass, and remain with their child during the lunch period. Food deliveries or drop-offs are not permitted.
Parties, socials or celebrations are prohibited during the school day. For additional information about the Texas Public School Nutrition Policy, please contact the Texas Department of Agriculture at (512) 463-2076 or email at: email@example.com.
PARKING PERMITS: Parking permits are available for purchase by junior and senior students first. Sophomores will be given the opportunity to purchase if space permits. Parking on campus without a permit may result in having the vehicle towed at the owner’s expense.

If a student is caught listening/playing any type of player it will be confiscated and sent to the office where it must be picked up by the parent/guardian at the end of the following school day. If a student refuses to surrender the MP3/I-POD player they will be suspended from school.
CELL PHONES: CCISD Board Policy FNCE (local) prohibit students from using cell phones while on school property during the instructional day in any way i.e. checking time, camera, texting, etc. Cell phones will be confiscated for violation of this policy. Items will be returned to the parent/guardian for a $15.00 fee (cash or money order) for each offense. Items can be picked up in the front office from the principal’s secretary at the end of following school day. Multiple infractions of this policy will result in additional behavioral consequences such as in-school suspension. If a student refuses to surrender a cell phone they will be suspended from school.
DRESS CODE: See separate sheet for KHS dress code policy. Violators of the dress code policy will be given a chance to change clothes the first 2 offenses, after that, a student will be assigned ISS. Accessories that are prohibited (such as hats) will be confiscated and a parent/guardian must pick up at the end of the following school day.
PHONE MESSAGES/DELIVERIES: CCISD Board Policy EC (legal) and EC-R restrict interruption of class time during the school day. Messages and deliveries will not be taken during the school day. Arrangements for rides, lunch money, homework, etc. will need to be made prior to the school day.
KING STUDENT IDs: King student IDs are used for various transactions and activities such as checking out books from the library, school dances, etc. Students are encouraged to have their student IDs at all times. Students receive an ID at the beginning of each new school year; replacement IDs cost $5.00.
